# The River Deal

Case 001 in Chain of Custody. Coming soon and currently in private testing.

## Spoiler-free premise

In 2006, Marlene Voss was found dead at a public boat ramp in Millford, Kentucky. Calvin Reed was convicted and has spent twenty years in prison. An innocence network has now put his file on the player’s desk.

The original case appears decisive: physical evidence, a clean theory, and a conviction. The player must trace the file from the boat ramp to the courtroom and decide which parts of the official story still hold.
