# Chain of Custody private playtest

Chain of Custody is recruiting a small group of private playtesters for Case 001, *The River Deal*.

## Commitment

- Approximately 5–6 hours across several sittings.
- A laptop or desktop browser and a real phone.
- Access to phone calls and email. Text messages are optional.
- Willingness to play naturally, finish the case, and report confusing, broken, rushed, or unbelievable moments.

No game-testing experience is required. Mystery readers, true-crime fans, puzzle solvers, and careful skeptics are welcome.

## Contact and consent

Gameplay uses calls and email during availability hours selected by the player, plus text messages for players who opt in to them (optional, and not required to play). Calls may be recorded and transcribed for character memory and failure diagnosis. Disclosure and consent happen before play begins, and a tester can stop participating.

All crimes, people, locations, and records in the experience are fictional.
